Cristiano Ronaldo’s Penalty Kick Leads to Al-Nassr’s Draw Against Al Fateh

Cristiano Ronaldo’s first goal in the Saudi Arabian League came in the form of a penalty kick, securing a 2-2 tie for Al-Nassr against Al Fateh. This marked not only Ronaldo’s 820th career goal, but also his first goal with his new team Al-Nassr. Despite the tie, Al-Nassr remains the leader due to their superior goal difference.

Óscar Guevara of TUDN reports that Cristiano Ronaldo’s latest penalty goal was his 30th in stoppage time. Ronaldo has established himself as a star in multiple countries, including Portugal, England, Italy, Spain, and now Saudi Arabia. The Al-Nassr coach believes that Ronaldo will end his career with the Arab team. In a crucial moment, with Al-Nassr trailing 2-1, Ronaldo stepped up to take a penalty kick in the 93rd minute and scored with a strong shot to the center of the goal. This goal not only benefited the team, but also served as a personal redemption for Ronaldo, who had previously had a goal disallowed and missed two shots that hit the post.

Al Fateh took the lead with a spectacular goal from Cristian Tello in the 11th minute. Tello initiated the play and capitalized on a rebound in the semi-circle of the penalty area to score. Al-Nassr equalized at 42′ when Anderson Talisca finished a low cross from the left with a clinical finish. Al Fateh regained the lead at 58′ when Sofiane Bendebka scored following a handball in the build-up. In the 89th minute, Al-Nassr was awarded a penalty after Masharipov was brought down in the area. Cristiano Ronaldo took advantage of the opportunity and converted the penalty with ease.
